We travel 40 miles (one way) about once a month for Monday Oyster Night. Always start with oysters, beautifully shucked. Their N.E. Clam Chowder is probably the best I’ve ever had. Tonight’s specials were sauteed Soft Shell Crabs and Stuffed Flounder... superb! And dessert...Key Lime curd over Angel Cake with Whipped Cream and Blueberry Sauce; incredible! And not even listed as a Special, though Key Lime is seasonal. We have NEVER had anything but an exceptional meal here. The service equals the quality of the meals!!

Hosted a bridal shower last week and had a five star experience. Food was excellent, displayed beautifully and served exactly as requested by super friendly and efficient staff. One of many consistent and quality meals we have enjoyed at the Chesapeake Tavern. Seafood is excellent as well as many equally good non-seafood options. Highly recommend it for a great meal or any planned event.

Had some seafood cravings that needed to be satisfied tonight. We were not disappointed. Everything was top notch and on point. Our server, Jen went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of. Would definitely recommend and will be coming back for more!

Enjoyed a fabulous brunch today at Chesapeake Tavern. We are regulars at this restaurant because the food is delicious and the service from managers to servers is fantastic. This was our first time having brunch and we will definitely return. We had crab Florentine and Chicken and Waffles. The sauce on the Crab Florentine was amazing and the eggs cooked to perfection with a nice portion of crab meat. The waffle was light and fluffy and chicken strips were juicy inside and perfectly crispy outside and the smokey bacon-brown sugar-coffee-maple syrup was absolutely incredible! Also, highly recommend the lobster roll!!

The crab cake was so delicious! It had lots of herbs, tasted super fresh, and the sauce it came with was so good too! The fries were also perfectly crispy.

The meal was superb, dish after dish. The service was courteously, kind, friendly and extremely attentive. These young servers were well mannered. Very good at their jobs. The staff in general was upbeat and very friendly. We had 2 GMs come and speak to us even. The atmosphere is cozy in a remodeled home setting. Not too noisy. Immediately being sat, water was offered without asking. They ask you if you want the bread - say yes. Starting with the fried calamari, it was crispy and crunchy. The chipotle sauce was the best and different for dipping. Also included a mango dip, however the chipotle was the favorite offering. Dinner was the lobster tail with mashed potatoes and Brussel sprouts sauteed. It was so tasty, I would order second helpings in a moment. Reasonably priced for all that at 35. Their veggies are also locally sourced from nearby farms. Dessert was the apple crisp, which was just comfort, dessert, food. Not overwhelmingly sweet, scrumptious in nature. The champagne/cranberry cocktail for the holidays was sweet tasting, yet in a good way. I liked it so much that I will return and even join their member rewards program.

My second time here and it was an incredible experience both times. The food was delicious. I had the scallop risotto. It was the 1/2 portion and the perfect amount. It was served piping hot which is a plus. My daughter had the lobster Mac n cheese and raved about it. The dessert was delicious as are the cocktails. The bar area is lovely to sit in. Can’t wait to go back!!!

A charming tavern with plenty of outdoor seating! We ordered the fish and chips and the lobster roll—both were absolutely delicious. Kyle and the entire staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We brought our dog along, and everyone was so kind, taking the time to stop and say hello to her. A lovely, relaxed spot with great food and even better service!
